i did not buy guild wars yet. However, i downloaded the GW client and start playing using my 10 hours trial account from ati. Despite of that, after i buy the real guild wars game, do i still need to install the game from the cd, or i just create a new account and insert the cd-key that is on the box?

No, you don't need to install the game from the CD.

Just start Guild Wars, click on "Create Account" and input your personal information and key.

If it had you create an account for the trial, then you will put your "real" key in your existing account.

If you get the cd version, I would install to cut down your download time of new area's / town's, etc but can run fine downloading the stuff as you need it.

I would recommend installing the CD just for the fact mentioned above that loading time will be significantly quicker.

Either way it will work.

You do not need to reinstall the game but u will have to make a new account with the cd key. you may also have to dlad some updates.

I'm 99.9% sure you won't have to create a new account - so you will keep you current progress in the game. You will just add your new key to your current trial account (just like we did to go from Beta to Live) from the options on the character select screen.
